Huron Historic Gaol | Visitor Experience and Interpretive Design
I developed a range of interpretive materials to enhance the visitor experience at the Huron Historic Gaol, transforming complex historical research into engaging, accessible stories for audiences of all ages.
Projects included promotional brochures, exhibit guides, self-guided tour materials, and exhibition graphics that balanced historical accuracy with compelling visual design. Working closely with museum staff, I helped create a cohesive visitor experience that extended from first impression through to deeper exploration of the site's history.

In addition to developing interpretive materials for the Huron Historic Gaol, I supported Haunted Huron, an annual regional marketing campaign promoting heritage attractions, museums, and cultural programming across Huron County each October. Working collaboratively with multiple partner organizations, the campaign encouraged residents and visitors to explore the county's rich history through tours, exhibits, and seasonal events while strengthening Huron County's cultural tourism profile.
To bring the Gaol's historical characters to life for the Behind the Bars program, I developed the character concepts and guiding questions for a series of video interviews, directing the creative approach as actors responded in character. I partnered with an external videographer to shoot and produce the final pieces.
